The main area for the conference is the “Veranstaltungszentrum” in the Mensa building of RUB.

Arrival by railway

If you arrive by train at the main station in Bochum, please take the underground railway line U35 in direction “Hustadt”. Leave the U35 at “Ruhr-Universität” and follow the signs leading to the above mentioned building.

Travel Information

The nearest airport is Düsseldorf Airport (code: DUS), which is around 48 km away from the conference venue. It takes approximately 40-45 minutes by taxi and 50 minutes via public transportation to reach from the airport to Bochum. There are frequent direct trains to Bochum directly from the airport in Düsseldorf. Regional trains as well as trams go from there.

The Deutsche Bahn website https://www.bahn.com/en/view/index.shtml will allow you to pre-book and/or prepay a train ticket. Further, you can find information about time schedules.
